Startup Sunday!

Let’s start discussion like this - for a start-up, the difference between success and failure is primarily the result of the quality of its few top champions and their collective endeavour. But entrepreneurs often grapple with issues within this small group and lose much energy that could otherwise be spent on building the business…..do you agree!

Do you think as an “entrepreneurs you need to know every thing”, this is certainly wrong based on my experience working in a start up. I believe it is not practical for a business executive to have all the skills and strengths required to take a start-up to success. A small team with common beliefs is a key necessity.


Well you can agree with me or disagree with me. So, how good it is then to have discussion about these issues with the like minded people like us, and then you have any opportunity here:


The “Startup Saturday” is due on 8th march. The schedule is given below for those who are interested in attending.


10 - 11.30: Presentation of iHoll by Ishwar and Aishwarya. Both of them are graduates of IIM-B and are moonlighting on this venture while working on their respective jobs. iHoll is a online market place with a difference. Unlike traditional eCommerce site, here the sequence of operations on iHoll are envisaged to be different with more interactions between the buyer and the seller. They are look for critical feedback from the audience. In addition they are also looking out for individuals who can take care of the technical requirements of this venture.


11.30 - 12..30: Session on 'The Essentials of a Term Sheet' by Ms. Dhanya Menon of ALMT Legal, Bangalore.


12.30 - 13.00 Presentation of MyDuniya (www.myduniya. in). MyDuniya offers a suite of services of day-to-day use, leveraging the convenience of the "Mobile" and the power of the "Web". They have a bunch of simple yet useful information services that can be set on the web and the information can be access using mobile any time.
